Winston Churchill was an inspirational leader to the British people. As the Prime Minister of Great Britain during the second World War, he defended his country from Nazi Germany’s brutal attacks and led his country through the hardships of a world war. With this, he had gained much trust and respect from the people of Great Britain. He was looked up to as their leader. He was easily the most popular person in Great Britain during the war. Knowing this, many propagandist used Churchill’s image in multiple propaganda posters like the one above in order to send a direct message to the people. In this particular poster, Churchill points a finger at the people and cries, “Deserve Victory” to tell the people that Great Britain will be victorious during the war. In the image, Churchill stares directly into the viewer’s eyes with a confident look and a calm demeanor, as if to say Great Britain “Deserves Victory!”
